Q & A: Can I offer compensation in agent remarks in the MLS?
When the offer of compensation field goes away in August, WMLAR’s members will face a new business environment where they will have to look outside of the MLS for any offer of compensation.
That’s because under the terms of a legal settlement, an offer of compensation cannot occur in the MLS. Not only will the offer of compensation field in the MLS disappear, but REALTORS will not be able to type in an offer of compensation in public- or agent-facing remarks in the MLS.
Practitioners will not be able to add an offer of compensation to any program associated with the MLS, meaning that you cannot enter it into ShowingTime, either.
