WMLAR Annual Business Meeting Offers Education, Networking, and Community Impact
The West Michigan Lakeshore Association of REALTORS® (WMLAR) is gearing up for a busy month, with its highly anticipated Annual Business Meeting set for Wednesday, Sept. 18, at Trillium Events in Spring Lake. This key event promises a mix of professional development, leadership announcements, and community engagement, making it a must-attend for all WMLAR members.
Key Highlights of the Meeting:
- Legal Education Credits: Attendees will have the opportunity to earn 2 hours of legal continuing education credits. Special guests Brian Westrin and Becky Berke from Michigan REALTORS® will lead the session, offering valuable insights into the latest legal trends and updates affecting the real estate industry.
- Leadership Election Results: The meeting will also serve as the stage for the announcement of the 2025 WMLAR leadership election results. REALTOR® members in good standing are encouraged to vote for one candidate for President-elect/Treasurer and no more than three Board member candidates. Click here to learn more about the candidates. Voting is open through the member portal from 12:01 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 4, and closes at midnight on Monday, Sept. 16. The results will be announced during the annual meeting.
- Networking Opportunity: In addition to the formal agenda, the meeting provides a prime opportunity for members to network with peers, affiliates, and industry leaders. This is a chance to strengthen professional relationships and exchange ideas in a collaborative environment.
- Community Coat Drive: WMLAR’s Community, Advocacy, and Impact Committee will be launching their annual coat drive at the meeting. Members are encouraged to bring new or gently used outdoor clothing, such as coats, snow pants, and gloves, to support those in need as colder weather approaches. Donations can also be dropped off at ATA National Title in Muskegon, Coldwell Banker Woodland Schmidt in Grand Haven and Muskegon, or HomeRealty in Holland by Sept. 30.

- Free Registration: The event is free for all WMLAR REALTORS® and affiliates who register by September 13. After that, a $20 fee will be assessed for late registrants and no-shows. To register, visit the member portal and navigate to the ‘Education’ tab.
- Voting Deadline: Make sure your voice is heard! REALTOR® members eligible to vote should do so through the member portal before the September 16 deadline.
