At WMLAR, leadership isn’t just about board meetings and policies—it’s about connection, conversation, and showing up for our members where they are. Our Board of Directors is made up of REALTORS® from across the lakeshore who volunteer their time and expertise to help guide the association, support our mission, and ensure WMLAR continues to serve more than 1,200 members across Allegan, Muskegon, and Ottawa Counties.
But we also know the best ideas, questions, and conversations don’t always happen in a boardroom.
That’s why we’re excited to introduce Coffee in Your Community—a new, casual way to connect with your fellow REALTORS®, WMLAR leadership, and staff in 2026.
What Is Coffee in Your Community?
Coffee in Your Community is exactly what it sounds like: an informal drop‑in gathering where WMLAR REALTOR and Affiliate members can stop by, grab a free coffee or beverage, and talk shop. No formal agenda. No presentations. Just real conversations about real estate, the market, association initiatives, and whatever else is on your mind.
These events are designed to be easy, welcoming, and flexible—come for five minutes or stay awhile. Whether you have feedback to share, questions to ask, or simply want to put faces to names, this is your opportunity to connect.
You’ll have the chance to visit with:
- Members of the WMLAR Board of Directors
- WMLAR staff
- Fellow WMLAR REALTOR and Affiliate members
2026 Coffee in Your Community Dates
We’re planning three opportunities throughout the year, each hosted in a different area along the lakeshore:
- February 11 – 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. at the Side Bar at OddSide Ales 41 Washington Ave. Grand Haven
- May 13 – Holland (tentative)
- October 14 – Muskegon (tentative)
Final locations, times, and additional details will be shared in the weekly Memo, in our members only Facebook group, and in your member portal as each event approaches.

WMLAR exists to support you, and these gatherings help us strengthen that connection. Coffee in Your Community gives members a relaxed space to:
- Share ideas and feedback directly with leadership
- Ask questions about association services, advocacy, and education
- Network with members outside of formal events
- Build stronger relationships within your local real estate community
