Community Outreach Committee
The Community Outreach Committee helps demonstrate the positive impact REALTORS® make beyond real estate transactions. Through volunteer efforts like Habitat for Humanity builds, Adopt-A-Highway cleanups, blood drives, life jacket donation drives and more, this committee strengthens the connection between REALTORS® and the communities we serve. Members who enjoy giving back and building goodwill for the profession will find this committee especially rewarding.

Education Committee
The Education Committee helps guide the learning opportunities available to WMLAR members, ensuring REALTORS® have access to relevant, high-quality education that supports both licensing requirements and business growth. Members who enjoy staying ahead of industry trends and helping others succeed will appreciate the opportunity to help shape programming that keeps REALTORS® informed, competitive, and confident in their profession.

Government Affairs Committee
If you’re in real estate, you’re part of politics whether you want to be or not. Laws affecting private property rights, short-term rentals, zoning, taxes, and independent contractor status directly impact your business. The Government Affairs Committee helps members stay informed about these issues while building relationships with local and state leaders who shape housing policy. While RPAC fundraising is one piece of the work, the committee’s broader mission is advocacy, education, and protecting the future of real estate. Members who want to better understand how decisions are made—and how REALTORS® can influence them—will find this committee both valuable and empowering.

MLS Committee
The MLS Committee helps ensure the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) remains accurate, efficient, and responsive to member needs now and for generations to come. Committee members review policies, evaluate tools and technology, and help shape how the MLS supports REALTORS® in their daily business. For members who want a voice in how the industry’s most important professional tool evolves, this committee provides an opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

REALTORS® Who Care (RWC)
RWC is the charitable 501(c)(3) organization connected to WMLAR. The group raises funds to assist REALTOR® and Affiliate members facing hardship and supports charitable causes throughout Allegan, Muskegon, and Ottawa counties. Members who participate help strengthen the culture of support within the association while extending that generosity into the broader community.

Social Committee
The Social Committee helps create the events that bring WMLAR members together—from the Summer Kickoff Picnic to the Holiday Party and other networking opportunities throughout the year.
