PRESIDENT-ELECT/TREASURER CANDIDATE

Andrew Boehm
I have been involved in WMLAR since the day I finished orientation 9 years ago. I have been on the grievance committee, Realtors Who Care committee chair, and have served 3 years as a board of director. I am also a major investor for RPAC.  WMLAR has given me so many opportunities to help grow my real estate business and I feel it is only fair to help serve WMLAR in any capacity I can. I believe WMLAR has the best members and I am humbled and excited to being able to help us maintain being the best association around. I hope I can count on your vote and support.

It's an honor and privilege to be nominated as a Board of Director. I believe I am an effective leader that enjoys serving others. I have been in real estate for 23 years. I am passionate about our real estate industry, private property rights and the quality of sales associate that belongs to our Association.  I have served on various committees and participate in many of the associations events. If elected, my goal is to work towards becoming the WMLAR President.

I have been involved with teams my entire life.  WMLAR and our Board of Directors is similar in many regards.  TEAM: Together, we achieve more.  We belong to a great organization.  We have been blessed with great leadership.  There is always room for improvement.  I’ve always believed that if we help others get what they want, we in turn will get what we want.  Helping my clients through what can be a stressful process is what drives me in this profession.  Honesty and integrity are paramount for me.
Much is said about behaving professionally. Most people can actively recognize professionalism or the lack of it in others, but find it extremely difficult to define it, or model it when considering their own behavior.  We must practice what we preach.  As individuals, as a board of directors and as an entire association, we must constantly strive to increase the level of professionalism that we exhibit.
I taught ethics in a college setting for twenty-five years.  The standard of ethics that I expect of myself, our agents, and my offices is the same I would expect of every member in our Association.  It all begins with passion; passion for people and passion for our profession.  Real estate can be a hard business.  It takes a lot of attention to detail and commitment.  If elected to this position, you can count on me to work hard for you.  I’ve led teams and I’ve been part of teams.  I believe in servant leadership.  I would never ask anyone to do something that I haven’t done before and wouldn’t be willing to do again.  I hope I am afforded this opportunity to work for you.

I have served on your Board of Directors for the past two years.  I believe that I have served faithfully and have invested myself in this organization.  I have never said no to a request, be it the blood drive, the dunk tank, May basket collection, RPAC involvement from my offices or my personal financial commitment to RPAC by stepping up to become a major investor.  I was asked by the nominating committee to run for President and have respectfully declined.  That is a position that I aspire to, but now is not the time for me.  I want to continue to serve this organization in the capacity of Board Member.

Rebecca Perkins

When I moved to Michigan from Indiana in 2002 with my husband, Jeff, I never imagined the ways in which West Michigan would capture my heart & change my life. This is where we started our family (Fiona - 10, Miles - 8), and I began my career as a Realtor®.

I have been practicing real estate for 17 years - and 8 years ago I obtained my Associate Broker’s license. I have been with @Home Realty Lakeshore since they opened their doors in 2013. Previously, I have served as Hospitality Chair for the Women’s Council of Realtors, and I am currently in my 2nd year on the Zeeland City Board of Review where I assist with reviewing and consulting on taxes within the city limits.

I would love to have the opportunity to contribute to WMLAR in a greater capacity, and give back to the industry that has made it possible to take care of my family & support the greater lakeshore community. My goal is to continue our association’s positive reputation, and instill even more confidence in our members by empowering them through education and transparency.

I respect and appreciate what my fellow colleagues have done for our association to help keep it strong, in good standing, and to have such a positive reputation within the state of Michigan — and the utmost respect amongst other Realtors®. I look forward to contributing to that legacy!

I have been a full time real estate agent for 19 years and an Associate Broker for 6.  I am currently a Realtor at Coldwell Banker Woodland Schmidt in Holland and currently serving a one-year appointment as a Director on the WMLAR Board of Directors.  I am active in the RPAC and PR Committees, a past President of the Lakeshore Women’s Council of Realtors (WCR) and a RPAC Major Investor.  I have served on many committees for WMLAR and WCR throughout the years.  I have a strong reputation for professionalism in our industry, a high level of integrity, and am ready to serve as a Director on the Board of Directors.
