WMLAR continues to offer free CE to help members meet licensing and membership requirements

One of the most valuable benefits of WMLAR membership is access to free continuing education. From licensing requirements to NAR membership rules, WMLAR provides the training members need at no extra cost.
On Oct. 22, members can attend a free hybrid Fair Housing and Code of Ethics training, either in person at WMLAR or virtually via Zoom. Registration closes Oct. 17.
The day’s training gives members a head start on meeting two important requirements:
- NAR obligations: All REALTORS® must complete Cycle 8 Code of Ethics training and a new 2-hour Fair Housing course by Dec. 31, 2028.
- Please note, if you complete the fair housing training outside of NAR’s official offerings, or WMLAR’s offered courses, WMLAR must approve the learning outline of the course in order for you to have that count as this membership requirement.
- Michigan licensing: The Fair Housing portion also fulfills one year of Michigan’s annual fair housing requirement for relicensure.
The full two-day program provides 2 NAR approved fair housing credits, 2 hours of legal credit, and five hours of elective credit. Members can attend the complete program for all nine hours or select sessions to meet specific credit needs—all without paying extra fees. CLICK HERE TO LOG INTO YOUR MEMBER PORTAL TO REGISTER.
Every six weeks, WMLAR offers up to nine free CE credits during its New Member Orientation program. While new and transferring members must attend in person, existing REALTORS®, Affiliate members, and brokerage staff are welcome to join virtually.
Track your progress with CE Marketplace
Michigan law requires every licensee to complete 2 hours of legal and 1 hour of fair housing each year, plus 9 elective hours within their three-year cycle. WMLAR provides the courses, but members should track their credits in CE Marketplace, Michigan’s official CE record system. CLICK HERE TO LEARN MORE ABOUT WHAT CREDITS YOU NEED AND WHEN.
